Zoke Around the Island Race from Ocean Sports Media on Vimeo.

The Zoke Around the Island Race is a circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island. Held the day after the Dragon Run it is an awesome Outrigger and rowing race. Fantastic, iconic scenery similar to NY Mayors Cup, but in ocean conditions. The Eastern side of the Island had some very challenging waters, Highly recommend this race, it's up there with Hamo, Takapuna and Vaka Eiva as a changeover event.

New Zealand's Premiere Outrigger changes race, held at beautiful Takapuna Beach Auckland. A host of Local and international warriors battle it out for line honors and personal fulfillment in this fabulous International Event.

Held just last weekend. If you enjoy the Hamilton Cup then this is the event for you, great location and awesome local hospitality. Put this one on your “must do” list for next year.

On a personal note, i would like to thank Race Organizer Lance Richards and Committee for allowing me the opportunity to help promote this Race, a true "Jewel in the Crown" of Outrigger paddling in New Zealand, and a must attend event for any International paddler wanting to experience the local culture and hospitality of the locals. Thank you also to my host and new friends, Steve Muir and partner Wendy, you made my stay most enjoyable.

Row For Cancer - 2009 from Rambos Locker on Vimeo.

Welcome to the fourth annual Health Foundation Row For Cancer. This event was held on the 5th September 2009 continuing the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation's fundraising campaign to support local cancer patients. Combining sun, sand and the beautiful Maroochy River the event draws hundreds of competitors from as far away as Townsville to compete in surf boat, outrigger, and ski races for impressive prize money … and a cause that touches us all.

Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club and Rambos' Locker are proud to be Supporters of Row For Cancer ...... see you all again next year.

It was a pleasure to have Hawaiian legend Nappy Napoleon steer our crew from Papua New Guinea - Konedobu Kanu Klab at the 2009 Hamilton Cup. How many people can say they took this line along the bottom of Dent Island and got away with? He truly deserves the title "Channel Master" after 52 Molokai Hoe Crossings. Thank you Nappy, Anona and grandson Rigg, we enjoyed your company. Also thank you to Brendon and the Boys of the KKK , i think we all learnt something eh.

Another Episode in the Vaka Eiva 2008 series of videos. This was so much fun to shoot and edit, hope you enjoy it.
Held at picturesque Muri Lagoon, the sprint events are always keenly contested but most importantly, a huge amount of fun!! The World Famous “pop the ama” competition is a blast as are the "Boat Races".
The paddlers love this day and it sets the mood for the "Muri Mingler" party that nite on the beach.

Yes folks Rambo's been busy again. This video will give you a clue on what to expect for the Hamo Movie. Lot's of HD footage, unique visuals and entertaining mood.

Filmed at the recent Burleigh Regatta on the Gold Coast, this little video is about sharing the "Aloha" and the Chores" and i think typifies what is great about belonging to an outrigger club, with everyone pitching in supporting each other and having a great time. ............. Yep, i can proudly say it is my Club, Mooloolaba ... and just maybe, this is part of the formula for it being successful ON the water as well.

This was a challenge, to film and paddle in a 9 man change over race and focus 100% on the paddling. I shot all the footage myself and I’m rapt in the fact that i gave all for my crew and still managed to capture great shots. I had 3 hours of footage to edit, and this is condensed down too 11 minutes. Apologize for leaving out some of the results as that was all i had confirmed.

Do yourself a favor and download the HQ version and have a permanent copy on your PC. (93meg)
